The first lie to enter the world was that God is not enough. The devil wanted Adam and Eve to believe that what God had given them was lacking. Since then, the devil continues to lie to us that God is cheap and stingy. And when we believe that, we’re trapped.
But developing an abundance mentality is not about thinking positive thoughts. It’s not about self-help or hard-work, but something greater. The key that unlocks the lie is the truth of God’s word. Scripture shows us that God’s heart beats with generosity, “For God so loved the world, that he gave…” (John 3:16).
